Little Panthers & Kindergarten Readiness Mrs. Tanya Hovland

My name is Tanya Hovland, better known as Mrs. H. and I am beyond blessed to be the Pre-School teacher for the Little Panthers and Kindergarten Readiness classes at St. Raphael!  This is my 14th year of teaching at St. Raphael School and I have prior experience as a Special Education teacher, childcare provider and private tutor as well. I grew up near Clements, MN and graduated from Springfield High School 30 years ago! Yikes!! I met my husband, Chad, in college and we are proud parents of Hailey, Ivan, Nolan, Violet, Leo and Sylvia. In 2009 we outgrew our home in Farmington, MN and relocated to the former St. Raphael Convent. I can’t complain about my commute!

I can relate to the mountains and valleys of life and parenting, and rely on God’s amazing grace and wisdom to guide me through every single day! I am honored to teach some of our youngest learners to pray, love God, love others, love themselves, and love school! I really love partnering with parents as they embark on their child’s first experience with school. I don’t have much “free time”, but I love to talk and build relationships with others. I especially enjoy parenting and love to encourage, guide, and keep in touch with my four ambitious and smart children attending college, and I am always on the go keeping up with my two talented children in junior high and high school. 

Our Kindergarten Readiness class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8am  - 11am.  

 Our Little Panthers class currently meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am - 11am.
